PLG Welcomes Workers’ Compensation Attorney Mariah Rivera to the Firm

Pond Lehocky Giordano is proud to announce the addition of Mariah Rivera – an already accomplished workers’ compensation lawyer – to our legal team.

Mariah Rivera draws on a unique background in criminal law and a strong commitment to social justice to ensure that her workers’ compensation clients receive the compassionate and tenacious representation they deserve.

While earning her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Arcadia University, Mariah had the opportunity to engage deeply with global issues, including the Mediterranean migration crisis. In 2015, she traveled to Sicily, Italy, where she met with North African migrants and learned firsthand about the challenges facing displaced populations. After graduating in 2018, she attended the Drexel Kline School of Law, where she would actively engage with the Latin American Law Students Association (LALSA), serving first as the 1L Representative and later as Secretary. In her third year, Mariah became a Certified Legal Intern with the Defender’s Association, gaining invaluable experience representing clients in felony Preliminary Hearings and Misdemeanor Trials.

After graduating from law school in 2022, Mariah joined the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where she spent two years honing her litigation skills. In her first year, she prosecuted adult criminal defendants, handling felony Preliminary Hearings and Misdemeanor Trials. In her second year, she shifted focus to juvenile cases, advocating for justice in similar trials involving young defendants. Recognized for her skill and dedication, Mariah was one of two individuals in her class selected to participate in “Top Gun,” an intensive Undercover Drug Law Enforcement Training. This opportunity provided her with advanced insights into criminal investigations and enhanced her litigation abilities, which she now brings to her work at Pond Lehocky Giordano.

Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, Mariah is dedicated to representing injured workers with integrity and empathy. She understands the unique challenges that workers face when dealing with workplace injuries and is committed to helping clients navigate the complexities of workers’ compensation law. At Pond Lehocky Giordano, Mariah applies her robust trial experience, deep sense of justice, and strong advocacy skills to achieve favorable outcomes for her clients..

Outside of the courtroom, Mariah is an avid sports enthusiast. She enjoys both watching and playing sports and currently plays for a Division II Women’s Soccer Team based in Media, PA.
