Pond Lehocky Giordano’s Managing Partner appears as special guest on new Philly Labor Radio Show

Samuel H. Pondthe Managing and Founding Partner of Pond Lehocky Giordano, spoke as a special guest on the inaugural episode of New Labor Show with Joe Dougherty Jr. and Joe Kraus on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT this past Saturday, September 19.

The entire episode can be listened to here:

Daugherty opened the conversation with a brief discussion on the legacy of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

I don’t know if I have the words that will really express the loss that our country has in the passing of Justice Ginsburg,” Pond said. “When I think about litigators, when I think about trial lawyers, when I think about champions, I think about fighters. I think about people that are willing to fight for what they believe in. I think about people that if you are not going to stand for anything, you fall for everything. And this woman inspired so many and fought so hard, took on so many battles. We all should be inspired and aspire to her memory and her body of work.

Daugherty and Kraus have been hosting PhillyLabor Radio for almost a decade. This new show aims to enhance the work already being done to share knowledge with union members across the region. Pond has appeared multiple times on previous broadcasts.

In closing, Pond shared “we are in these times now where we’ve got so much fear, we’ve got so much ignorance, we have to be fearless. When I think about fearlessness and when I think about fighting back, I think about our organized labor. I think about labor all the time, because they’re there to fight for the average person that just wants to go to work, have a decent wage, have benefits, and have a future and hope for them and their family.

Pond is a founding and managing partner of Pond Lehocky Giordano, one of the largest workers’ compensation and disability law firms in Pennsylvania. A former President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, he served for six years as treasurer of that organization’s Committee for a Better Tomorrow. He has previously served in leadership roles for numerous organizations, including chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section and member of the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners
