At Pond Lehocky Giordano, we are proud to kick off our first annual 25 Days of Scholarships campaign by honoring an inspiring student who exemplifies the very values this program was created to celebrate. Our first scholarship recipient is Matthew Reyna, a dedicated nursing student from Hot Springs, Arkansas, currently enrolled in the Registered Nursing program at National Park Community College, Class of 2027.
Matthew’s submission stood out immediately. In his video, he spoke with clarity, conviction, and humility about his dream of becoming a nurse practitioner. This goal rooted in his deep commitment to caring for others. As the son of Mexican immigrants, Matthew grew up witnessing the power of perseverance and compassion. His parents instilled in him a strong work ethic and a deep respect for the opportunities that education can provide. He now hopes to pay that forward by making a difference in the lives of his future patients.
For Matthew, this $1,000 scholarship will go directly toward covering the cost of his nursing program scrubs and textbooks – essential tools on his journey toward a healthcare career. He also shared his long-term aspiration to continue his education and pursue a Master’s in Medical Sciences at the University of Arkansas, demonstrating a clear and ambitious vision for his future.
Matthew’s story reflects the mission behind Pond Lehocky Giordano’s 25 Days of Scholarships: to empower students who are working hard to transform not just their own futures, but the lives of those around them. His values – dedication, compassion, and community impact – mirror the guiding principles of our firm and this scholarship initiative.
About the 25 Days of Scholarships
Launched in 2025, the 25 Days of Scholarships program is a nationwide initiative awarding 25 students each with a $1,000 scholarship. Open to students attending two-year colleges, four-year universities, trade schools, or other accredited programs, the campaign aims to help reduce financial barriers so that recipients can focus on what matters most: their education and their future.
Each day throughout the month, we will spotlight one deserving recipient on our website and social media channels. These students are not only academically capable but also driven by purpose, community spirit, and a desire to serve others – just like Matthew.
