At Pond Lehocky Giordano, we are honored to spotlight another inspiring student in our 25 Days of Scholarships campaign: Sarah Babb, a dedicated nursing student at Widener University, Class of 2027, from Narvon, Pennsylvania.
Sarah is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, and her commitment to service and leadership is evident in everything she does. In addition to pursuing her nursing degree, she is actively involved in campus life. She participates in the color guard of the university band, serves as an orientation leader to help new students adjust to college life, and is a proud member of Delta Phi Epsilon, where she helps raise funds for causes like cystic fibrosis research.
What truly resonated with us was Sarah’s personal story and determination. Her father, a veteran, recently suffered a workplace injury that significantly impacted her family’s financial situation. With overtime eliminated and only her mother’s income supporting the household, the cost of higher education has become even more challenging. Sarah shared that this scholarship will ease the financial pressure on her family and allow her to concentrate more fully on her academics and her future as a healthcare provider.
In her own words: “This scholarship gives me the ability to continue school and focus more on the academics and less on the finances.”
Sarah’s dedication to helping others, both on campus and in her future nursing career, perfectly aligns with the core values behind our 25 Days of Scholarships initiative. Her story reflects strength, compassion, and perseverance – the same values we fight for every day at Pond Lehocky Giordano.
About the 25 Days of Scholarships
The 25 Days of Scholarships is a national program created to empower students pursuing higher education. Each year, 25 deserving students are awarded $1,000 scholarships to help reduce the financial barriers that often stand in the way of academic success. Open to those attending two-year or four-year colleges, trade schools, and other accredited programs, the initiative supports students who show a commitment to personal growth, community involvement, and academic achievement.
Beginning in June, one scholarship recipient is featured daily across our website and social media channels. These stories are meant to inspire others and emphasize the impact that education can have not just on individual lives, but on entire communities.
