Today is the 29th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). At Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano, we want to bring attention to the work done to promote equal opportunities for the disabled and highlight what still needs to be accomplished. #ThanksToTheADA
Mapping: Have you ever noticed a door that is hard to push open? What about a paper towel dispenser that you have to reach for in a public restroom? Is there a step up into the bar for Happy Hour? All these things are noticeable to those living with disabilities because they affect their everyday lives.
Image Descriptions: Image descriptions provide textual information about non-text content that appears on websites and social media platforms. They allow images to be presented auditory, as visual text or in any other form to best assist the user.
ASL Signs: We also want to share one simple ASL sign for our community.
