Award-winning Torn Apart campaign takes Best in Show

Pond Lehocky’s Torn Apart campaign brought home two honors, including Best in Show, at the 86th Annual Art Directors Club of Philadelphia’s Louix Awards.

These honors follow the campaign’s previous eight ADDY® awards from the American Advertising Federation.

The Torn Apart campaign tells three clients’ personal journeys through art and video. The firm commissioned acclaimed British artist/illustrator Ian Wright to create large-scale portraits using his innovative torn paper technique and our clients’ actual case files.  Ms. Barbara Daquilante, a food service worker; Mr. George “Moose” Beerley, heavy machine operator; and Mr. Francis Elliot, Parking Authority attendant, all suffered serious workplace injuries and were the subjects of the project. All three clients were also interviewed about their stories to create videos to accompany the artwork.

Founded in 1924, the Art Directors Club of Philadelphia brings together artists of various visual media, including creatives-designers, art directors, illustrators, web designers, videographers, animators and copywriters. The organization strives to foster collaboration and inspiration among existing creatives, elevate local talents and empower the next generation of creative minds.
