Jerry M. Lehocky Receives One of the Largest Settlements in PA Workers’ Compensation History
Filed in:
One of the largest workers’ compensation settlements in the nation was obtained by Pond Lehocky Giordano founding partner, Jerry M. Lehocky, at $4.4 million. Lehocky fought for years to get justice for Ricky Carroll after he was hit by a tractor trailer while driving on the job, leaving him wheelchair bound and unable to walk.
This near record-breaking settlement was no small feat. Lehocky and the team negotiated fiercely on behalf of Carroll to finally close the case on October 13. Pond Lehocky Giordano remains committed to fighting for our clients, no matter the size or severity of their case.
Lehocky is a founding partner of Pond Lehocky. A 1985 graduate of Temple University School of Law, he has been a litigator of workers’ compensation and Social Security disability since being admitted to practice. Initially, he represented employers and insurance companies. However, since 1991, he has represented claimants exclusively. He is currently serving a three-year term as a member of the Disciplinary Board of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He is also a former president of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the first workers’ compensation attorney to hold that position.
