Pond Lehocky Helps Feed Hundreds in Local Community

For the sixth consecutive year, Pond Lehocky Giordano partnered with Gibson Temple Baptist Church to help those in need this holiday season.

The Turkey Drive, which feeds hundreds in the local community every year, took place this past Saturday, November 18th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Gibson Temple Baptist Church located at 2159 N. 28th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19121. Pond Lehocky volunteers distributed vouchers that could be redeemed for a free turkey from ShopRite, and provided free legal consultations for community members.

“Through the years, Pond Lehocky and the Gibson Temple Baptist Church have formed a strong relationship helping our community and our city,” said Elizabeth Griffin, Associate Minister and Director of Blessed to be a Blessing Food & Clothing Ministry.

The firm has a rich history of charitable involvement and sponsors scholarship programs, community groups, and events for non-profits throughout the year. The Turkey Drive is an annual holiday tradition for Pond Lehocky’s partners, attorneys and employees.

“It was great to provide families in need with at least one day where they don’t have to plan what to eat,” Elizabeth explained. “Pond Lehocky and the Gibson Temple Baptist Church provided countless families with all of the foods needed to have a complete Thanksgiving meal. Thanksgiving is about giving thanks and giving back, and that is exactly what we did.”
