Pond Lehocky Managing Partner Sam Pond to co-host with the on-air voice of labor in Philadelphia

On Wednesday, September 23, 2015, Managing Partner Sam Pond will join the broadcast team as a guest co-host of Today in PhillyLabor, the on-air voice of labor in Philadelphia, for the first of four special appearances. Due to the Pope’s visit, the show will air from 1-2 p.m. instead of its usual full timeslot.

A devoted advocate for workers’ rights and local unions, Sam will reveal some of the myths and misconceptions about workers’ compensation, discuss his personal connection to union labor and explain what workers need to know about Social Security disability.

“Every union worker should know their rights if they get injured at work or develop a serious medical condition,” Sam said. “I hope listeners walk away with a better understanding of what to do if they are struggling to work because of an injury or illness. So many workers out there are missing out on benefits they are rightly entitled to.”

Today in PhillyLabor is a weekly talk radio show that airs every Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. throughout Philadelphia and vicinity on WWDB 860AM. You can also listen to the live stream here. Hosted by Pat Eiding, president of Philadelphia Council AFL-CIO, Joe Dougherty Jr., PhillyLabor.com, and Joe Krause of Jakib Media, the show tackles labor related issues that affect working people every day, including workers’ rights, legislative issues and more.
