Congratulations to the Brown family for earning the IronPigs June Community Star Award

On June 16, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Pond Lehocky Law Firm presented the third Community Star Award to the Brown family; Jerry, Jana and Jared.

The award aims to recognize individuals that make a positive difference in their community and help make the Lehigh Valley a better place. Sponsored by Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano law firm, the award is presented prior to the start of one home game each month. Five different people will be recognized throughout the 2016 season.

The Brown family have performed remarkable acts for a number of organizations, such as being ambassadors for Mikayla’s Voice to help empower children with disabilities, adopting animals in need for Canine Companions, volunteering at local homeless shelters and food banks, and raising $10,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project.  Jared Brown often spends time collecting gifts or donations for these charities in addition to volunteering his time.

The Browns were unable to attend the game, but a family friend accepted the award on their behalf. For information about the Community Star Award program or to submit a nomination, please click here.
