Partnerships & Charities

At Pond Lehocky, our commitment to the people we represent does not stop at the courtroom door. We believe a law firm built on workers’ rights and disability law has a responsibility to show up for the broader community too, whether that means funding scholarships for the children of injured workers, amplifying the voices of union members, or helping first-time voters register before an election. This page brings together the organizations, media projects, and civic efforts we support so you can see the full picture of how we give back.

We don’t think of these relationships as one-time sponsorships. Each partnership reflects a cause our attorneys and staff care about personally, and we try to stay involved well past the initial handshake. Below, you will find our approach to community partnerships, the organizations we support, our media collaboration with The Labor Show, and our voter engagement work through Promote the Vote.

Why We Partner with Community Organizations

At Pond Lehocky, we do not simply sponsor great organizations; we partner with them, taking on their mission as our own. That distinction matters because it shapes how long a relationship lasts and how much support we put behind it. Instead of writing a check and moving on, our team looks for ways to stay engaged year after year.

How We Choose Our Partners

We look for organizations whose missions connect naturally to the clients we serve every day, including injured workers, people with disabilities, and their families. The partnerships we support are meant to reflect excellence, dedication, compassion, innovation, creativity, and unwavering advocacy. Many of the groups we work with focus on legal access, education, or workplace safety, areas where our attorneys already have practical experience.

What This Means for the People We Serve

When we support a nonprofit or civic project, the goal is always to extend help beyond our own client base. A scholarship fund, a legal aid clinic, or a voter registration drive can reach people who may never set foot in our office. That ripple effect is part of why we treat these partnerships as core to our identity rather than as marketing.

Our Community Partnerships

Community Legal Services has provided free legal help to low-income Philadelphia residents since 1966, and we’re proud to stand behind that work. CLS provides free legal advice and representation to low-income residents of Philadelphia, covering everything from housing to employment issues. Supporting an organization like CLS fits naturally with our own mission of protecting workers and people with disabilities.

Kids’ Chance Of Pennsylvania

Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania helps the children of injured and deceased workers pursue college or vocational training when a parent’s workplace accident has created financial hardship. The mission of Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania is to provide scholarship grants for college and vocational education to children of Pennsylvania workers who have been killed or seriously injured in a work-related accident resulting in financial need, since the hardships created by a parent’s death or serious disability often include financial ones.

Because our firm handles workers’ compensation cases across Pennsylvania, we see firsthand how much a scholarship can change a young person’s path, which is why we support Kids’ Chance of PA.

Local And Regional Organizations

Beyond these two groups, we back a range of local causes, including well-known Philadelphia institutions and community programs that share our values. We partner with inspiring organizations including the Philadelphia Eagles, Community Legal Services, Kids’ Chance of PA, and more. A full list of these community partnerships is available for anyone who wants to see the breadth of what we support.

PLG x The Labor Show

Pond Lehocky is proud to partner with The Labor Show, with JDoc and Krausey, which has given voice to Philadelphia’s labor movement since 2014. The show has built a following among union members and workers who want commentary on the issues that affect their jobs and their communities. Our involvement reflects the fact that so much of our caseload involves union members and tradespeople.

The program discusses labor issues, workplace safety, and stories from workers across the Philadelphia region. It gives a platform to voices that don’t always get airtime in mainstream coverage of business or politics.

Why This Partnership Matters to Injured Workers

Supporting a media project built around labor issues keeps us connected to the concerns of the workers we represent outside of a legal setting. It also helps us stay current on the challenges facing specific trades and industries. That connection often informs how our attorneys approach workers’ compensation and employment cases.

Promote The Vote

Our Promote the Vote effort encourages people to register to vote and make their voice heard in every election. We started this initiative because so many of the rights our clients rely on, including workplace safety standards and disability protections, are shaped by elected officials. Encouraging participation in elections is one small way we try to support the systems that protect workers.

How We Help People Register

Our Promote the Vote page directs visitors to trusted registration resources and answers basic questions about deadlines and eligibility. We keep the process simple because our goal is removing friction, not adding another form to fill out. Anyone can start at vote.gov to check registration status or register for the first time.

Voting and Workers’ Rights

Workplace laws, disability benefits, and workers’ compensation rules are all shaped by legislation, which means elections have a direct effect on the protections available to injured workers. We think civic engagement and worker advocacy go hand in hand. You can find more detail on our approach on the Promote the Vote page.
