Pond Lehocky is celebrating LGBTQ Pride Month

June is LGBTQ Pride Month. To commemorate, Pond Lehocky will use its website and social media accounts to spotlight staff who will offer their perspectives as LGBTQIA+ in the workplace and the importance of diversity and inclusion for organizations.

Pond Lehocky has made it a mission to diversify the legal industry, not only to meet a moral obligation, but because it understands that inclusion is good for business. Getting diverse input and insights allows Pond Lehocky to better connect with its clients, who come from all walks of life, and helps the firm deliver innovative legal solutions to clients’ most pressing problems.

Last year, Pond Lehocky took it one step further and added pronouns to email signatures. The addition of preferred pronouns is the latest move to ensure that diversity and inclusion are deeply ingrained into the workplace culture. The firm has focused on initiatives promoting education, communication, empathy and support. The firm recognizes that being thoughtful about the way pronouns are used is a simple but necessary step toward becoming a more effective ally of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Pride Month is in honor of the Stonewall Inn Riots which took place during June 1969 in New York City. learn more about the history of Pride Month please visit the Library of Congress.
