Pond Lehocky managing partner Sam Pond to host Facebook Live with NFL Philadelphia Eagles Spine Consultant Dr. Vaccaro

Pond Lehocky’s managing partner Sam Pond will host the firm’s seventh live Facebook Q&A with Dr. Alex Vaccaro, spine consultant for the Philadelphia Eagles and President and CEO of Rothman Orthopedic Institute. Viewers are encouraged to ask questions about telemedicine, treating injuries at home, COVID-19, workers’ compensation, employment law, or any other legal matters. Questions will be answered in real time.

Pond is a founding partner of Pond Lehocky, a nationally recognized injury and disability law firm headquartered in Philadelphia. A former President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, he served for six years as treasurer of that organization’s Committee for a Better Tomorrow. He has previously served in leadership roles for numerous organizations, including chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section and member of the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners.

Dr. Vaccaro has served as the president of Rothman Orthopedics since 2014 and is the Richard H. Rothman Professor and Chairman in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Professor of Neurosurgery at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the recipient of the Leon Wiltse award given for excellence in leadership and clinical research for spine care by the North American Spine Society (NASS) and is the past President of Cervical Spine Research Society (CSRS), the American Spinal Injury Association and the Association for Collaborative Spine Research.

Dr. Vaccaro graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston College in 1983 with a B.S. in Biology. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine where he was promoted with “Distinction.” He earned membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society and graduated with honors in 1987.

Dr. Vaccaro completed a year of Surgical Internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Thomas Jefferson University where he graduated in 1992. Dr. Vaccaro completed a Spine Fellowship at the University of San Diego, CA. In 2007, Dr. Vaccaro earned a PhD in the field of Spinal Trauma. In 2015, Dr. Vaccaro received his MBA (Master of Business Administration) from Temple University’s Fox School of Business in Philadelphia, PA and graduated with honors.
