Kaitlin S. Files

Kaitlin S. Files holds a B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame and earned her J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2014. At Temple, she received the Rubin Public Interest Award, which recognized her dedicated work to the underprivileged in the local community.

While in law school, Ms. Files was a member of the youth court movement in Philadelphia, and remains active in this organization. While working with students in Strawberry Mansion, she helped create and implement a model for law firm support in the youth courts of Philadelphia. Pond Lehocky is now proudly partnered with the Strawberry Mansion Youth Court providing mentoring support for the students involved.

Ms. Files first joined Pond Lehocky as a legal intern in 2012 where she worked in both the Social Security disability and workers’ compensation departments. She was able to gain an in-depth perspective about both areas of law. Kaitlin now focuses her practice exclusively in workers’ compensation.

Ms. Files currently sits as a co-chair on the Diversity and Inclusion subcommittee for the Workers’ Compensation section of the Philadelphia Bar Association. This committee works to engage in community outreach and advance diversity in the legal practice. She also performs pro bono work for the Philly VIP drafting estate documents.
